Working up some graphics for the 50th anniversary of the Summer of Love…
April 20 is becoming an actual holiday-type event! Gotta remember to make this up as a card next year!
Our local team is the Sacramento River Cats – the minor league team of the SF Giants. I thought I’d draw one of their team members – just for the heck of it! #RiverCats
Working on some 60s and 70s rock music types – basically generic, but you might recognize a few anyway…
Been doing a lot of spot graphics for Boss Boss Radio – and hope to be doing more! Here’s one I did for Boss Jock Cousin Dean’s “Double Play Hour” – weekdays at 12 PDT:
This one’s for Wyatt Jennings’ “Vinyl Nuggets” show:
And this one’s for Big Mike’s Impossible Trivia feature – listen to his show 2-6 am PDT, 5-9 am in the East…
Some more work for the Boss Jocks at Boss Boss Radio (bossbossradio.com) – these two were for Boss Bob, who partners with morning man John Van Camp for a segment about “Lost Hits,” weekday mornings around 7:30.
“Jamey’s Jukebox” is a Saturday night feature on Jamey Karr’s show – songs that SHOULD have been bigger hits than they were. “Vinyl Nuggets” runs from 3-4pm PST every weekday – Wyatt Jennings spins hits from his own collection of actual records!
Stay tuned for more – the hits just keep on coming!
I’ve also been doing cartoons for internet radio outlet Boss Boss Radio (bossbossradio.com) – they’ve got honest-to-God “live” DJs pickin’ and playin’ the tunes and they even take requests over the phones (and online)! I did caricatures (not my strong suit! 🙂 ) of all the “Boss Jocks” for the holiday header on their website as seen below . The coloring and layout was by head boss jock John Van Camp:
I’ve also been doing gtaphics for segments the Boss Jocks do on their shows. For example, Big Mike Cowan who does late nights/morning (depending on what part of the country you live in) has several regular segments featuring “Stupid Joke of the Day,” “Stupid Criminals of the Day,” and “Impossible Trivia”:
There’s several other irons in the fire with this group – they’re a great bunch and all the shows are great! And of course, my wife and I love the music from the 60s and 70s (they’re even starting to mix in some 80s classics). Rock on, Boss Jocks!
